This morning there was ice on the road, but I'm getting use to the varying temperatures we are having. I continue to listen to 'Deutsch Plus' on my Ipod.

Now every time I'm going to the buddhist centre I'm telling myself not to spend two hours talking crap to people, and possibly, keep my mouth shut. This is proving to be difficult. Something takes over, and I can't help but say the most stupid rubbish and it's more from a point of my feeling, ' I'm going to tell you if you like it or not.' Still, you've got to laugh !!!

After cleaning at the centre, I distributed some leaflets, and then, drank coffee whilst reading my new book ' Cisco Routing Protocols.'

The 'Learning Shop' in the Forum seemed to be closed for staff training. So instead I walked to Norwich City College, and see if they could give me advice about doing a degree in computer science. The college had an information centre, and inside a lady talked me through the options open to me. It seems I might either do one year in connection with University of East Anglia and City college which is more tailored towards business and e-commerce. Or, one year foundation course in science.

I bought some cheap noodles off the market and some hot chilli Japanese crispy seaweed. Which was fucking expensive !!! Inside the Chinese shop I was the only white person, I couldn't understand a word of what was being said, which I kinda liked...Hahah I'm special...

Today I learnt many things. I watched a whole series of basic Japanese on Vaoh. I then watched some stuff on programming and downloaded 'xampp' which is a kind of lazy mans setup for developing PHP. I liked it very much because I'm very lazy, it takes no configuration to setup...just install it. But, I guess it opens a few security holes if left unconfigured. I listened to this weeks 'Off The Wall.' It was one of the funniest things I've heard in awhile. Eric gave a fantastic performance...

Tony Benn's Five Questions for People in Power...

  • What Power have you got ?

  • Where did you get your Power ?

  • In Whos Interest do you Exercise it ?

  • To whom are you Accountable ?

  • How can We get Rid of you ?

I f you can't get rid of the people that govern you, you're not living in a democratic system.

Weaponized Wapanese

Today I visited Cromer Lifeboat. They were showing an interesting documentary on the construction and testing of the boat. I was really just killing time before I signed at the jobcentre. At the jobcentre there was two positions I was interested in.

One as a trainee Locksmith and the other...
" Previous experience in a similar role essential. Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship, must have full valid driving licence and experience of working with light machine guns, small arms and grenade launchers."

Today was a warm day and people were in their summer clothing. I watched the sea muttering to myself and listening to a German Language CD on my Ipod.

All of the BBC Japanese Language programmes may now be found by searching Veoh.com with the search term bigm000. Notice those 000 are numeric zeros.

This is M3WZJ

I opened my curtain this morning to find it's been snowing outside, I'm feeling so cold. Haven't left the house for a few days. I went to catch a bus on Friday, but hadn't realised the buses weren't running. Easter holiday. Finally I received my Radio License and call sign: M3_WZJ

Second life LUG

I've been trying to meet people on the Second Life Linux user group. Tonight I had a good conversation with nikita... but it seems I need to sort-out the proper times to attend the English meeting...Nikita is an German system Admin' who is running Solaris and Linux in his / her work life. You can connect to SLLUG inworld by simple internet relay chat...on irc.quickfox.net and the #LUG channel... joining this channel enables you to chat with the second life residents and the people using irc client.

Went to a talk about power supply units. I already knew most of what was said. But it was good revision and I obviously didn't know everything.

Love Shack baby !!!

Spent the day with the rest of the candidates for the 'Foundation Amateur Radio License.' After some revision we completed practical tests in ....Morse code, Radio shack setup, and making our first contacts using VHF and HF. Also some simple tests on tuning a radio to 20 Meter CX , PSK31 and RTTY. RTTY and SSTV look to be an interesting area to explore.

After all the practical tests, we set a formal multi-choice exam of 24 questions. Thankfully I passed and will now apply for my foundation user, callsign. I could have done better, but I'm happy enough with my results. I must say thank-you to all the Narc tutors for their help. Their time and knowledge they give for free.

Time for Stormy Weather

There has been storm warnings all over the news_I spent the day learning morse. Outside in the garden things were a mess. My dads shed door has been blown off its hinges. My parent have been lucky enough to escape the weather and gone to their apartment in Portugal, for three weeks.

CQ, CQ, CQ.....

Simon arrived 7:30 this morning. Today I begin my Foundation Amateur Radio Licence. I showed Simon a shortcut to Great Ellingham. Despite the fact that I spent most of my life growing-up near this area, I totally forgot the difference between Hingham and Ellingham. No real problem. A call came in on Simon's radio shack from Rex the other instructor to confirm his position. We arrived ahead of everyone else.

Simons main line of work is as a crab fisherman at Blakeney. Because of the weather he hasn't been able to fish. I think he said during this down time he's been repairing the boat. What he hadn't told me before is that he has done a computer science degree, and he use to code COBOL. Why would he tell people this ? I guess it wouldn't mean much to most people, but for me ... I was well impressed.

David the chairman has his own company that makes data-loggers for schools. Narc is lucky in that David lets members use his facilities for training. He has a real cool building built next to his house with meeting room and a set-up for projector+white board.

After some coffee, Rex and David gave a short welcome and the course began. There was twelve of us including instructors. There was two younger members one being about 14 or 13 maybe older...and another with his father aged eleven. My god this eleven year old was so switched on. Each person around the room introduced themselves and Charlie the eleven year old boy was no exception : ) and very sure of himself.

We had a great time talking about radio and looking at aerials / antenna...

It's Not Brighton Rock...

It was a nice day. I didn't want to waste it, and just stay indoors. I have been thinking a lot about visiting Brighton. Maybe I will when it gets warmer. Instead I took the bus to Sheringham. There's a coffee shop in Sheringham that I use, but haven't been to, in a long while. I never hold much confidence that they remember me, but they usually will ask me if I'm allright.

I ordered a tuna sandwich and coffee; and sat down to watch people pass in the street. The coffee shop is very vibrant and makes me think I'm on the set for the Australian Tv program 'Home and Away.' All the walls have mirrors to make the room seem larger, and you can't help look at yourself and the other customers.

After a walk along the seafront and a visit to the health food shop (damn someone has already given them hundreds of Buddhist leaflets :) I made my way home safe in the knowledge that no work was done today. The bus stopped in the local school to pickup loads of school kids...wtf. The kids use the term 'publicans' for other passengers. I think I might have to email their headmaster and tell them the pupils don't know what a publican is ...MWAHAHAH!!! ...maybe not.

Carl Sanders

Whilst walking the streets of Norwich looking for Job agencies, I was stopped by a guy who handed me some leaflets detailling his view on the state of the world today. Of course, he was a 'born again chhristian. The leaflets contained information about implants and barcodes and the odd quotation from the bible. I don't think he was use to someone actually taking the time to listen to him. At one point he pulled-out a handful of Euro coins. Pointing at the back of the coin he said something about," look at the horns."

I had to be in Cromer to attend a meeting to see why I haven't got a job yet. before the interview I went for a walk on the beach.

zyouzudesune

Spent the last couple of days curling-up and waiting to die. I prescribed myself cake and the group 'Underworld.' Travelled on the bus into Norwich. In Norwich I looked in bins for my new employer. After finding no clues for work I walked from the city to Norwich Airport for the Norwich Amateur Radio Club.

People at the club had brought old equipment to sell. I met Simon, the guy that usually gives me a lift. Simon had done a spot of impulse buying and had bought himself a power supply. After some chat and browsing David the chairman read-out some notices. There's some good stuff to be looking forward to in the near future. One of which being a visit on Friday to a bunker to hear about Norwich's RAYNET. Simon kindly gave me a lift home. Sunday i will begin my 'Foundation Amateur Radio Licence.'

LM Hashes

Having good rainbow tables is essential for any good hacker / pen tester. A rainbow table for cracking local machine hashes that include every possible character should be around 32GB in size. Average crack time being 53 minutes.

You can either buy or build your own rainbow tables or download from bitTorrent. Rainbow tables are created using the program 'rtgen' or for windows 'winrtgen.'

BitTorrent tables maybe obtained for free at www.freerainbowtables.com
Rainbowtables can be bought on removable media or preloaded hard drives.
You can pay for a subscription to Rainbow-crack online Which seems to be offline at time of writting.

So Long_

I've spent the day thinking about how when you look at photos of yourself in different stages of your life; how much of the person you are looking at, are you today ?

I brought into mind all of the people I have known in the past. I wish I could talk to them now. Thinking about the different paths we all take, and what holds our present situation and values. If I was to meet my good friends from when I was growing up I suspect we would have grown too old. It's funny to imagine them still existing some where; yet, so different from how I remember them.

I found out somebody from my past died Tuesday

Kill a Hippie

Went into town to buy cake. It was a bright sunny day, so I decided to do some field walking. I haven't actively trespassed for a long time. It started out as a wonder around spout hill.. then I decided to cross a few fields. and through a wood... In the wood there was evidence of kids playing..a rope swing..After testing the swing I continued to a field with horses in. A sign said Footpath so I crossed the field of horses and continued on. The country view was very good, though I was still close to a main country road. And could hear the traffic.

Met with Mark and Simon to go to N.a.r.c.Tonight was members construction contest. There was five entries. All members were given a mark sheet. Marks were awarded on the quality of project construction. After each person gave an outline of their project the judging began. Most interesting I found was the recreation of a crystal set used by the Dutch resistance in WW_2 .

Book Look Took!!

Despite getting up in time this morning, I ran to catch the bus. the reason being, I had to move my old car from our driveway. It wouldn't start, I finally managed to give it a bump start.

Did cleaning at the Buddhist centre. There's a social meeting they have every last Friday of the month. I was asked if I would like to go. Although it's never a good choice for me to go to pubs socially, and because the people going are mostly Buddhists, I might actually go.

Bought a book on Solaris 8 from Oxfam for two UK pounds. Though the book was published in 2001, and is out of date. It will still be a good read.

Oh yeah, and what was the bad thing!! hmmmm...

WTF.. it's one in the morning and the whole house has shaken... the bed I was in shoke backwards and fowards it was like a minor earthquake. I can't make sense of it, could it have been a low flying aircraft : /

EEG'd

Spent the day pushing Buddhist centre posters and leaflets on people in and around Holt.

Also went to some Second Life tutorials on scripting and buying land.

Last Friday I was asking people at the Buddhist centre about measuring Brainwaves. Thanks to Padmadaka who gave me contact details of someone who has studied this 'Ratnaprabma.'

Haven't emailed him yet, but will do soon.

I re-watched Mitch Altman's talk about his brain machine given at last years CCC camp.

Opera House

Spent the day on Second Life, bumped into Boldy. He and I went to watch some Second Life live music at the Opera House. OMFG, they were called UKD. You get to hear the band who are all in different locations on their computers, and playing into microphones ... think Skype...a virtual stage, and avatars seated or dancing. The sound was like a holiday camp. I thought it was fucking hilarious, but, I had a sneaky suspicion Boldy was enjoying it ...hehe

The worst thing they played was a cover of 'The Cures_Love Song.' With a reggae beat WTF!!!

we were slightly out of place. We both wore Anarchy T-shirts. I was dressed as a black Wolf. Boldy with his Black Cowboy hat...

So Cold

I realise that my English skills aren't as good as they could be. And as a result sometimes, more through being lazy; things get worded in a way that I didn't really intend, and may sound wrong. Though it's really just me reading this blog and a few others, I try to remain honest and uncensored. If you feel I've written something incorrect then please feel free to email me or leave a comment. The comments are unmoderated.

Nearly slipped on that damn path outside the house again... There was frost early this morning. Spent the day helping at the centre again. Cleaning the kitchen drinking tea and listening to good people.

I tried looking for some flared jeans like the ones I'm wearing in Second Life. There were boot fit jeans, and in a specialist Goth type shop, flares twice the size of my waist. Ohh, to live in the Seventies with my VW Beetle.

I confess to buy a new book today. I had to it was the Second Life Official Guide. Somebody slap me.

Free Cheers !!!

I was determined to play Second Life today and come away with a positive experience. Luckily enough I met Mio. Mio is a Japanese Lady living in Italy. I took her to ALT7 one of my favourite places in Second Life. We chatted whilst dancing to indie music. It really pays to speak to good people. Hopefully I will see her again. errrr.... in the virtual world that is. : )

Look who's squatting on Jono Bacon

2007-09-07 (Permalink): So, for some reason, I was using advogato and, for some reason, I was looking at jono and, for some reason, I clicked on the link to the JonoCam. What I saw was unpleasant and not what I was expecting.

Someone's squatting on the JonoCam address, hiding behind eNom's privacy service. In fact, it looks like all of kdedevelopers.net is spam now, including jono.kdedevelopers.net.

Not only that, but http://www.jonobacon.co.uk/ is squatted too, by futuregate aka Mindcom Internet Limited of 20 Meridian Way, Meridian Business Park, Norwich NR7 0TA. If you're reading this from near Norwich, would you post some pictures of the home of these serial domain-squatters, please?

So I hopped onto the lugradio IRC and asked jono. Apparently he lost it ages ago(!) nominet says the domain was registered in 2004 and last updated April 2007, so I didn't know if that means it's been a while, or just a few months. Does the registration date change if an owner loses control? astinus told me that it does.

Chitta Chatter

Two of my favourite Kanji are the pictograph for 'Beautiful' and 'Erotic'. They are quite strange to me. Beautiful is represented using Kanji for 'Big' and 'Sheep'.....'Big Sheep.'

The word 'erotic' is even better according to my little book it's a pictograph of a man on a roof, peeping into a window. LMAO.

Thought it would be a good idea to have an apple before meditation today. It is definitely the wrong thing to do. I arrived just in time for the others to be doing that thing they do with their hands at the shrine. I wasn't really ready to begin, but did so anyway. While Vajra Gupta was speaking I started to choke on some flem and had to leave to clear my throat. The apple made me produce more saliva and made things uncomfortable. Also, I hadn't knelt properly and by the end I couldn't feel my left foot. I was sure it was dislocated or something was definitely wrong with it. After some tea I took the cups into the kitchen where a Lady called Cathy was taking a break from reception. I managed to find-out that she had her own Gardening business. She was friendly even though she was cornered and kinda obliged to talk to me :)

I wrote some internet links down and handed them to Tom to look at. They were mostly to do with E-voting. Norfolk has recently been experimenting with Electronic Voting Systems despite the obvious problems they bring. After telling Tom I would see him Tuesday Jonathan and I left to eat lunch. I suggested the 'Greenhouse' to go eat, but Jonathan wanted to go to 'Wagamamas.' I get the idea he tries to avoid the Greenhouse. Maybe there are people he doesn't want to see.

Jonathan use to work in the theatre, and has also studied German Literature at the UEA. He constantly smokes and wherever you go he will knows someone there. Firstly we went shopping. He bought a book token as a gift for a wedding he was attending. A new pair of shoes. Some moisturiser from 'Superdrug.' What was strange was that I noticed he used a basket for the one item in Superdrug. He later explain that he use to have a shoplifting habit taking frozen chickens when he lived in London, and now he uses the basket because it's wiser. I myself, feel the cameras watching me every shop I visit. I believe it's possible to sense when someone watches you. I have this feeling sometimes and turn to see a camera there. It must be hard for people if they are suffering mental illness. Shopping is very stressful nowadays even if you're allegedly one of the sane people.

Wagamamas I'm afraid was so bad, but Jonathan was paying so I shouldn't complain. I ordered seafood Ramen and it tasted of seawater and the tea was like warm tap water. Noticing I was struggling with the Ramen Jonathan asked if he could have one of the prawns and stuck his fingers into the bowl saying, " excuse my fingers." WTF!!! He knew some guy behind the counter, and kept looking at him. I guess this was the reason why he wanted to come here. The guy he was watching came over and they kissed hello. John spoke about how starting a gay club in Norwich would be a good idea, and about all his old boyfriends. After John paid he left to get ready for a party he was going to.

Fuck!! The 2nd Edition to Grey Hat Hacking and Art of Exploitation books are out. After some thought I had to buy the Grey Hat Hacking book. They are expensive and only slightly different to the first editions.

Unsurprisingly I did something stupid on the way home. Like Jonathon kissing, I probably shouldn't have mentioned it. Waiting for the bus home I drank a bottle of water. I already had the need to go to the loo. The double decker bus moved slowly through the rush hour traffic. I only made it as far as St Faiths just outside Norwich. I kept weighing-up the choice between; getting off and waiting for another bus and paying my fare again. Or agony for an hour or piss myself on the bus to save three quid fare. It was dark so I got off and peed in a field. I then ran for a mile back to the next proper bus stop. Running past the crematorium there was a sweet smell of roses. I just made it to the next bus stop in time to catch the next bus.
HooRahHH !!!

At home I bought Chinese takeaway.

You Do the Math !!

Making Mambo

Didn't sleep last night. I watched the BBC Chinese language programs. The morning was cold with slight ice on the road. The dawn chorus was good.

Waiting for the Forum to open I stood watching people clearing the streets of rubbish. There was light mist adding mood to the scene. After coffee I went to the Budhist Centre. Tom who I met last Friday welcomed me and introduced me to everybody else. I helped by cleaning their kitchen and scrubbing windows and walls at the entrance of the building. I wasn't sure if I was much use but it was good to be doing something at least. I quizzed Tom on what it meant to be a city councillor. He told me that he had attended a meeting yesterday about the need for more social housing.

After cleaning we sat down for tea and chat. People mainly spoke about how they find themselves busy all the time. I'm not living in the real world... I know this. I then spent most of the day walking the streets asking people if I could put a Budhist Centre poster in their shop window. I walked all of Anglia Square and most of Earlham and Unthank. I was surprised to discover the art school has a student bar, I never even knew it existed.

After lots of walking I went to eat noodles and drink more coffee. Back home I decided not to go to UES as it would involve more walking and I was a little tired.

2240

Against better judegment I joined an agency today. They say there's going to be a new contract working with PCB's. I gave the guy my CV and he photocopied my passport. No interview; just we will be in touch. I got the idea I won't be hearing from them anytime soon. Not really a positive move in the right direction, just a move.

I googled Tokyo 2600 today and got this web page.... The Poor Guy!!

Andy Kaufman

I've heard it said that eating lots of cheese before bedtime gives you nightmares. Last night I began my investigation into this phenomena, starting with Brie. By morning I was able to recall two dreams. First dream was walking a country road while calling someone on my mobile to come collect me. The person I called was in another country and unlikely to arrive in time. The last dream was tucking my sleeves into a pair of gloves just before clearing a dead body from the 'London Tavern pub in Attleborough. Inside there were lots of flies that I individually picked and placed inside a purse.

This morning my mother and I travelled the number 44 bus into Norwich she was off to meet a friend. My mothers friend is liked by everyone. She's well known for helping people particularly the elderly. It's sad to hear that she is suffering with atheritis and isn't able to walk for long periods of time.

Meditation at the budhist centre began with a talk about the five basic precepts. The actual meditation I think went well...although the lady facilitating the session half way through said, " where is your mind now ?" I think I understood the point she was trying to make. The time meditating seemed longer that usual. At the end she asked if we felt relieved that the meditation time had ended. I felt that because there was more time it distracted my concentration and I didn't change my pattern of breathing well.

Somebody purposefully befriended me after the session was over. I've recognised this guy's face from somewhere and it's been bugging me ever since I first saw him. He said he had something to do with the Greenparty. I think he said he was a councillor. I introduced into our conversation the subject of Second Life. He hadn't heard of Second Life before and I tried to explain it to him. I joked about how long I've been spending in world. And the fact that sometimes I get confused between RL / SL. He didn't laugh and I think he thought I was being serious. Anyway he's asked if I wanted to help at the centre.

After trying to help with a problem he was having with Outlook Express I agreed to meet him next Tuesday to go put some posters up.

After a great vegetarian meal at the Greenhouse I got the bus home. No point in waiting to see if anyone turned-up for 2600.

I like to think I haven't gone insane ....just very bored!!!

Hustler HF

Attended the weekly Norwich Amateur Radio meet. One of the members 'G0KYA' gave a talk on HF DX'ing from a small (or no) garden. Embedded into his pwerpoint presentation were sound clips highlighting the difference in antenna performance. The guy stated that he had spent alot of money for his equipment ( just under a 'grand for one antenna and three hundred for another :/ eeeEEck!!!. He concluded with a set-up he had built in his loft 'KKA Multiband Dipole.' The talk was far more comprehensive than I have outlined here and as a newbie I was happy that I was able to understand most of what was said.

The club has organised a visit to a place in Holt 'UES&S'. I don't think I will be going.

NARC

Finally managed to attend a norfolk Amateur Radio meet, thanks to Mark and his brother Simon. They met me in Holt and kindly gave me a lift to Norwich Flying School. Simon had a fairly high spec' radio fitted and on the way to the meeting we listened to one of the many local repeaters, and talked about radio amateur licences. Marks son tagged along also, though I was unsure wether he was actually into radio like his father.

The meeting was fantastic, everyone was friendly and eager. It had the feel of a CCC event. I was introduced to everyone by the Chairman of the club which made me a little embarrassed, though I managed to hide behind my beard, grinning. Simon ordered drinks from the bar, everyone seemed to prefer drinking pints of orange and not alcohol, I had a coke. I've put my name down on the waiting.....yes that's waiting list for the 'Foundation Licence' trainning course. Norwich Amatuer Radio Club is one of the most popular in England.

They have a children's club called 'Bright Sparks' that spent the evening learning how to wire a plug. This was a hands-on activiety that went on in the corner of the room. Some of the kids were asking members different question from their question sheets. Which puts you in a difficilt position if you get it wrong ;) We found this to be funny, being told by one boy that looked to be around 10 years old we had chosen the wrong coloured fuses....No Pressure *HeHe* I shall read the foundation book and return soon... Hopefully next Wednesday.

Goonies

I've just been for a meal at a local wine bar named 'Balthazar.' There seemed to be lots of activity in Holt. The first I knew was when I came across the Police tape across the road, from one lamp post to another. Apparently, not more than one hour previous, a bank robbery had occured at the Nationwide. Lots of crime scene investigation cars could be seen under the wet dim street lighting.

Well anyway, I'm glad to say that our meal was fantastic. Balthazar was small which added to the pleasant relaxed atmosphere. I hope to return soon. A woman in the wine bar was the main witness to the hooded men robbing the bank and looked quite shaken.

On another note I have been busy breaking my laptop installing Backtrack. Also I've been watching a documentary on John Lennon's killer, and a very good BBC program 'History of satellites.' You can watch them on iplayer if your in the UK :/

Three Dimension

Walking around Norwich today I decided to visit the local Arts' centre. Inside there was an exhibition by a local artist named 'Tristan Burfield'. Stereoscopy was a series of prints, post processed using photoshop. 3D glasses were provided. The various images were well composed and of everyday objects found on the street. Nothing else worth mentioning. Would it be wrong to wear 3D glasses for everyday use ? No joke, I'm seriously tempted.

I noticed a group of four kids walk out of the Forum library, one, with open laptop in hand. Could they be openly foot printing access points...probably.

A favourite piece of graffiti saying 'help me' over and over again has been painted over. Someone has now written in its place 'Hackers' in a rather childish unskilled manner.

Spent the rest of the day playing with BT3 and airodump-ng.

Off The Hook

Went to buy cake in Holt, on the way as I turned my mobile on to find two messages from Thorpe Hamlet police station. Decided to go to Norwich and find-out what was happening. The helpful woman behind the perspex made three phone calls before she could put me in touch with the correct officer. " We shall not be investigating any further." What they should have said was," I'm sorry for troubling you. Here is a book token as a goodwill gesture. Please, continue to hit as many Chavs as you want."

Some dude with tattoos all over his face (not an important detail but true) asked me to roll him a cigarette. I hadn't seen him around before. He said he had been drinking all day and couldn't see properly. I sat beside him and made a roll-up for him. He kept dropping money out of his pocket which I promptly brought to his attention. He introduced himself as 'Red' from the travellers site in Thorpe. One of his friends turned-up with dog started sniffing between my legs. I told him he should stop drinking and left.

I'm looking for new walking boots and I would like a warm double breasted navel coat from the army surplus. They are being sold for 40 UK pounds, that's quite good. Tonight there is a clear night sky with a bright full-moon.

Camriders

YAY!!! Spent the day motorcycle training on a little 125cc. I got my Compulsary Basic Training certificate, which means I can now move-on and get the full licence. Back in my day, once you hit 16 years of age you could ride a 50cc moped without instruction, then a 125cc when you hit 18 years old. I was a little suprised it only took one days worth of instruction for me to pass.

Slap a Chav

Read teach yourself PHP in ten minutes on the bus today. I went to the police station to see if I'm being charged with assault. They couldn't find any mention of the incident on their database. I'm sure nothing will come of it but went to the citizen advice just in case. They advised me to visit one of the solicitors on a list they gave me.

I missed meditation class again...I'm always late..Damn it!!! Spent the day sitting in churches and looking in old book shops.

Charles Clark sat near me again in the Forum. I quickly finished my coffee and left before I said something stupid. I'm so fucking depressed and it shows. However I had a great lunch in the Greenhouse where Adrian Ramsay Co-ordinator of the Green Group on Norwich City Council was sitting. After a cup of tea and some food I was feelling a little better.

I walked past an old school friend, Anthony Metcalf. I seem to notice him at least once a year. Every year he is alone. Every year we just walk past each other.

The bus driver home was Mark the 'bus driver/Ham radio' dude. I told him about Wednesday and why I couldn't go to the meeting. He seemed to understand.

I start my Motorcycle training tomorrow.. :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Trouble

There is trouble....again.

Somebody tried to punch me today.

They missed by the hair of my chinny chin chin.

Sandcastles

Spent the weekend with my sister and her family. I've been watching Dr Who with my nephew on the BBC iplayer. I'm liking the iplayer interface, you don't have to register, there are no adverts and you don't have to agree to DRM unlike 4OD.

Today we went for a walk on Well's beach. There was a light wind and only a little cold. After sandwiches and crisps we rolled down sand dunes and played frisbe. At one point two dogs came running at us, the owners nowhere to be seen. I don't really trust dogs and grabbed my neice before she was knocked over. I think this was probably the right thing to do. After some sandcastle building we headed home for more Dr Who.

Yappari!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Gosh what a catchy Blog title.. :))))))))

I gave my local book shop one last try and redeem themselves after my last attempt at buying from them, one year ago. They totally fucked it up last time. I would like to support them, but last time they forgot to take note that I had already paid, and I nearly had to pay twice. Amazon I'm afraid is much easier, faster and cheaper....

Well anyways the book I ordered was 'programming microcontrollers in C' by Ted vansickle. I made sure I was served by the man and not the stupid fuckwit girl. Although he pretended not to remember me things went well ( if It goes badly this time I will repeatedly shout at them Onegaishimasu ); so far so good..

Went to 'larners' for a coffee and to read the 'paper...

Good Grief ! ! ! !!"£$%^

I'm the guy quite in the corner. Sometimes I believe you can't see me.

" How did you know I'm a ham radio operator ? "

"I listened to you talking to a passenger once before."

I met a very interesting bus driver today on my journey into Norwich. He's from Cromer but attends the ham radio group at Norwich airport. Because of my interest in computers and electronics, I feel it would be natural to maybe attend some of their meetings.

Shortly after arriving in Norwich I took another bus to the top of Mousehold Heath. I was looking for camriders the motorcycle training people. According to the website they were based within a school in that area. After walking around a bit I found no signs or clues of where it might be. Feeling a little strange I walked into the entrance of the school to ask. The caretaker ( I assume) confirmed I was in the right place but they're not a permanent setup. Hmmm... I wanted to ask them some questions face-face but I guess I'll have to phone.

I walked back to city enjoying the windy weather. It was good to get out and enjoy the fresh air. I took the cathedral route into the city along the riverside pathway. Lots of people there walk their dogs and it was smelling of dog pooo.. At the Cathedral I fired-up my laptop.. then walked the short distance to the Forum.

A wifi network scan from the Cathedral to the Forum pick-up about 50 networks 15 of which had no encryption. How hard is it to spoof MAC / IP.... not very :/
I didn't connect to any of these networks just a firm handshake. Don't you know it's rude to sniff someone when you meet them for the first time :)

I went for a coffee and was surprised to see Charles Clark. I got the idea that only a few people knew who the fuck he was. I sat down with some dude near Mr Clark that looked like Ex-Forces ;)

Managed to make my one coffee last a hour whilst reading about Monkey in the middle attacks on a SSL or TSL connection. ( Do you check digital certificates ? ) Three different sets of people sat with me by the time I decided to go, and Mr Clark was still sat there when I left..

Bumped into Anwar he was off to Maplin to buy Skype. I asked if he had a good Christmas.. But he misheard me and replied," yeah and you too." :/ Anwar Christmas has finished..it's now January 2008. LOL

Bus journey home I read the Guardian and about Government failure in their IT projects, which as I learnt from the article is overseen by the QinetiQ people mentioned earlier. Why have they put all this technology in place knowing that it is easily broken and hard to maintain....We're all Doomed I Tell thee..Doooooomed!!!

Made it back to Holt alive, bought crisps and biscuits
Must get fit!!!!
Must get Job!!! yeah!!! thanks charles
Must find a way to live in this fucking stupid cuntry!!!!

Low battery

I can't believe I've done bugger all. Now that Christmas is over and my relatives have left, it's back to the usual. I've been doing a little experimentation with a car booster pack and laptop placed inside my rucksack. It's funny walking around mainly because the fan from the booster pack makes a low whirring noise. Unfortunately I hadn't realised when the charge level is low the pack makes a continuous high pitched beeeeeeepppp!

I walked around on a test run errr... walk. The pack wasn't too heavy just manageable. But, when the pack started to beep I thought it was emanating from one of the shop alarms :))) and ignored it. After walking all through the town and actually arriving home I could still hear the beep noise. At one point I thought the noise maybe coming from within my head and tried checking, by placing a figure in each ear. It was only when I arrived home that I realised the source of the noise... Dumb arse!!! Well at least I know now LOL...

It seems to be a day of charging batteries...mobile phone...car battery...booster pack....PSP..

I got my car going ( Renault Clio not the VW) after being left in the garage for a year. It still works. When I finally take out all the rubbish I'm storing in there I will scrap it. I just can't bear to drive it any longer. Driving just makes me angry. Errr... come to think of it so does most things :/

Maybe I should charge my own battery and get off my lazy arse.... I hope to make it to Norwich tomorrow and ask 'Camriders' about a motorcycle test.

Red Gloucester

I just read slightly old news; the first known case of copyright infringement against the owner of a server hosting links to material and not the material itself in the UK.

FACT (Federation Against Copyright Theft) arrested the 26 year old in a dawn raid. It seems here at the end of December 2007 that he wasn't the only victim of large Corporations, and their influence. There have been other raids since. With significant confiscation of computer equipment.

"However, Kim Walker, head of intellectual property at law firm Pinsent Masons said it was not clear how the provision of links could be prosecuted as a criminal offence.

"We don't have an offence in the UK for facilitation of copyright infringement," he said.

Copyright Offences carry a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment and unlimited fines."Click Here

Somebody at the CCC got arrested for using TV-Bgone in Alexanderplatz. I hope it wasn't Mitch Altman ( Maltman, hehe...))

The Fudge Factor

Spent the day trying to watch the CCC stream. Actually left the house to buy cake at one point. Obviously this meant I had to shower, wear clothes, and breath fresh air like normal people.

The day was very nice bright and fresh. Makes me want to go surfing. The last couple of days I have had strange dreams... four in one night....

One was I'm in a surfing team and everyone else are non-surfers. being the only surfer I'm not chosen and I feel angry about this. I laugh as one of the team gets dumped onto the shore head first by a large wave. There's a group photo taken and everyone else has a bruised bloody face. I'm happy and feel justified.

Second dream smoking cigarttes whilst driving my VW Super beetle on a warm day. It doesn't matter how long you give-up smoking, many years latter you will still dream of it.

i think there was two other, but my brain isn't leting me remember...

At the CCC they had a demo' about data retention and surveillance in Alexandaplatz...

Arbeiten aus dem bett

I'm still in my pyjamas. Been in bed all day, getting up only to make tea.

It's the second day of the 'Chaos Computer Congress' and I've been watching the lectures via the stream found here: http://events.ccc.de/congress/2007/Streaming

There's two more days left.

Crowbar...

I've had an interesting visitor to my main webpage hosted on freeshell. The visitor seems to have come from a network named' QinetiQ-TIM (trusted information managment.)

Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QinetiQ

A strange thing has happend. I've logged into freeshell to edit my main page. All references and links about Gary McKinnon have dissappeared. I'll put them back in a few days time.

Bradgate Park

Spent the day keeping my niece and nephew entertained. They are quite young so basically all I do is be a monster and chase them, or, turn 'Children's BBC' on. They've also started using the computer and it's surprising just how well they find their way around a CD-Rom. I'm currently reading the book 'Kismet' by jacob Arjouni.

My sister always makes nice food for lunch; she's a vegetarian like me. Unfortunately my, " I'm not drinking alcohol" may have been compromised. When I visit my sister I defrag all her computers and fix the wireless. Some people say that cooking makes them relax, I get great satisfaction from purging system files and defragmenting hard drives :))))

Just before dark we went to Bradgate Park for a walk. I guess mainly to try tire the children so that they will sleep tonight, my nephew is so excited!!

Tonight I watched 'Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo'.

Leicester

Travelled to Leicester to be with family for Christmas. During the journey I read about 'GINA' (Graphical Identification And Authorization) MSGINA.DLL, race conditions, windows Hooks, Import Address Tables Hooking, EAT Hooking and other related stuff.

One noticeable thing when driving through Leicester is the lack of Christmas decoration. I guess according to a survey in 2001 44.7% identify themselves as Christian. Maybe another 30% agnostic. 26% other.

At night I watched 'Herbie Rides Again' on my laptop :)

ばか やろ of Holt

heh, more spam blog titles....

Waited outside the pub in Holt for the 2 o'clock bus. This guy who I've been trying to ignore stood outside smoking. In the end I had to talk to him just to be polite. The more we spoke the more it was obvious that we were completely different.

I had 20 minutes to kill, so I went for a walk. Suddenly a fight broke-out. You know the sort that happens when they have a friend to stop them. I watched to see if there was anything I could do. It was over quickly, and the guy walked away shouting to the other guy, " if I see your face again your dead!!"

On the bus I read about double return address exploitation using the EIP register and structured exception handler(SEH) as a fail safe. In Norwich I had a look around the cathedral; bought some book tokens and drank coffee. Damn, I accidently bought another book on reading Japanese 'Reading Japanese Today' by Len Walsh'. I read almost half of the thing on the way home....well the print is large and it has only 159 pages.

When I got back to Holt I noticed the traffic lights had gone wrong. They kept changing from stop to start every few seconds, I'm very sad so I stood and filmed it for your viewing pleasure. Whilst buying cake and crisps in the local supermarket I was suprised to see a police man ( I said there would be police now we have christmas lights ;) I told him about the traffic lights, but he seemed to want to have a conversation with me, after awhile I got the feeling he suspected me of something.

At home I drank tea, eat crisps and mince pies. Played Second Life hanging around 'Japan Resort'. There was supposed to be a christmas party at Harajuku but I guess the sim got full quickly. BTW I'm Moe Mulford in SL....Moe in Japanese is something that Otaku say... I think it means a nice feeling :)))

Off to Leicester tomorrow!!

OK, Everyone sing after me:

Normal for Norfolk

Please don't laugh :) hehe

I saw the reporter John Francis once in a changing room at 'Cromer Country Club'. At first hearing his voice I thought someone had left a television on. Then I realised; I smiled and didn't really know whether I should say hello. He must get that from people all the time :)

Pain Ray

Active Denial System now being tested by the US Military. it's designed to cause excruciating pain without injury by projecting a beam of energy about two meters across. Victims describe the sensation as like a giant hairdryer on maximum heat.

Informally know as the 'Pain Ray', producing a beam of short-wavelength microwaves that penetrate about 0.4mm into the skin, rapidly heating the epidermis. heating skin to 55C causes intolerable pain. Intensity of the beam varies with range.

Dr Juergen Altmann a physicist with the Bochum Verification project calculates there's a dangerous and narrow safety margin.

In April the system underwent field testing. A report on a testing accident was obtained recently by journalist Sharon Weinberger using the Freedom of Information Act. The maximum range is classified but thought to be 750 metres. According to the report ADS operator P4 set power to 100% for four-second duration, so as to be effective at long range. A problem prevented the test from taking place- the system's magnet requires supercooling and can be temperamental in hot weather. moving onto the next scenario the crew forgot to change the setting. When the system was fired the Role Player P3 immediately knew he had received a stronger than usual shot from the ADS. The description of the injuries had been censored from the report. Clearly the safeguards do not prevent operator error says Dr Altmann.

Derrr..Veeeerrr....Derrrr....

Went to job centre it was crap...
I think I might have forgotten how to speak to people..

I received three cold calls today all from the same person....

Morning time," Hello I'm calling from three 'C'. Is it possible for you to answer some questions?"
I'm friendly and polite," No sorry, I'm busy at the moment." caller,"OK thank-you Sir goodbye."

Lunch time same guy," Hello my name is James. I'm calling from 3 'c'."
Hmmm.. I guess you might get Indians called James,"Sorry no, I'm busy."
James," Oh, I'm sorry Bye."

One hour latter," hello my name is Jack, I'm calling from 3 'c'."
Hmmm... the same guy an hour latter," THIS IS THE THIRD TIME YOU'VE CALLED!!!"
Jack :/ ,"OH sorry."
Me," DONT CALL AGAIN!!"

Positive Posting

Recently I've been receiving only good-news through my letter box. Just the other day I was given a cheque, for a small amount that was left on the American Express Card I used last year in New York. Then I was pleased to see a package from Warsaw, which was the fist installment of my two year subscription to 'Hakin9 magazine'. It gave me the same feeling I had when I first received 2600 magazine. I read Hakin9 from cover to cover and wasn't disappointed.

Using miro, I have been enjoying a video cast called 'Bastard Son of a Dial-Up'.

For some time now I have had the material and means to make some home brew 'Hardware Key Loggers' maybe I feel a little better, and will start my little project...

:))) HOOrah!!!

The new's today reported on plans for the government to ban Samurai swords, Martial Artists will have to demonstrate affiliation to a group. This seems good, but people who follow true Budo maybe mistaken for terrorists. Is this a concern ? Just another way to compile a list and a new database, maybe.

Bloody Sunday

My legs need rest after yesterday, I woke this morning and remembered a dream I was having. I had received a text message from a friend that said,' She has sold the soap shop, what do you think about this ?' :/ I can't make sense of it.

Today I stayed in and watched the dvd 'Battle Royal'. it's a Japanese film about a class of school children made to fight each other on an island. People have likend it to Clockwork Orange, but I thought at times it was more 'The Prisoner' and 'Lord of the Flies'; but more violent.

I also downloaded and watched some of the talks from this years Chaos Computer Club camp. I attended the camp in Eberswalder Germany but wanted to see the talks I had missed.

On a Whim'

For some reason I hadn't slept; and at the last moment decided to travel to Westminster London and attend the 'Climate Change March'. The demo' will highlight the meeting held today by the United Nations in Bali, and will also be staged in 50 other countries around the world.

Unfortunately, I wasn't prepared enough to sort a proper camera to take. Instead I made do with my mobile phone camera :/ I left at ten to five in the morning to catch the bus to Sheringham. The bus driver despite being up so early on such a cold dark morning cheerily greeted me after having bought his paper from the newsagents, " Ah, somebody else up at this ridiculous time!!." He was wearing one of those warm military hats with a Soviet star on the front. On the way he talked about his Portuguese wife, and the Portuguese community in Dereham. I tried to steer the conversation towards guns and the police in Portugal but he just wanted to talk more about his wife :)

The short ride was soon over, I now had time to kill in Sheringham before the next bus to Norwich. I spent the time walking along the sea front and switching off TVs in shop windows.

The morning awoke with a beautiful red sky, which usually unsurprisingly means rain's on its way!! A fellow passenger I overheard confirmed that rain was forecast for today.

In Norwich I walked straight to the Railway station; purchased my day return ticket which including London underground for £43.

There wasn't many people on the train, the few there searched for their allocated seats, does it really matter? There was no real reservations. They obviously hadn't noticed that British Rail and their workers just don't give a fuck any longer. During the journey it was nice to see families on day trips to London, joking about visiting the Queen. I made use of the time by reading a book.

Strangely enough I've never travelled the underground by myself before. As soon as I arrived at Liverpool Street I got hold of an Underground map, then a coffee, in that order. In the coffee shop, people were crammed onto tables. I sat with a guy who was quietly listening to his Ipod. Shortly we were joined by a lady with two large shopping bags, her husband in tow. The woman was very friendly, though when she left to go somewhere her husband seemed indifferent almost pleased; I had to chuckle in sympathy, he's seen everything there is to see I guess.

Arriving at Westminster Tube Station I was greeted almost immediately by people selling 'Socialist Worker' and a protester dressed as Death :) Following some familiar land marks I easily found the assembly point for the demo, near to parliament square. Waiting around in the rain for things to get going I was given a placard which I managed to dump after awhile mainly because it has the Socialist Worker across the top, and it was destroyed by the rain anyhow. The police came and told me and others to move off of the pavement, which was OK accept I got a funny look when I didn't respond within the first few seconds... no problem really. Some guy made me laugh shouting," hurry-up!!! I've got a flight to catch!!!" :)

I stood near the 'Surfers against sewage' lot, they were dressed in there usual wetsuits and looked frozen. Other people were dressed-up too and as usual there was the samba band. The march in the rain was made worse by people and their umbrellas stabbing everyone in the head. Everything happened as usual, Japanese tourists taking photos, Police heavily guarding the Porsche car show room, people with whistles, student talking to girls about Sufism. I'm not sure but after a TV in a shop window was switched off using tv-bgone lots of people started cheering and whistling, may have been unrelated...v.strange :) At the end of the march, some of us followed the band right to the barrier, set by police to guard the US embassy. Standing on a railing not much was happening, just a token attempt to break through the barrier. The police responded by re-enforcing with more officers. " what's happening?" Looking down I saw a women standing with her pram and baby. I never understand why people bring their children on demos. Is it safe for them ? :/

I spent the rest of my time in London walking around Leicester Square, Covent garden and China Town.

Keep it Locked

Downloaded and have been using Miro alot it's really good for finding programs/news of other languages.

Saturday i went to see Beowulf it was ok, and the computer graphics was good. i would like to see 'The Making of Beowulf' if it exists. rather predictably kids were calling it 'B.O. Wulf'. Kids kept throwing stuff at me through-out the film, but I managed to stay calm...that's up until my bus ride home. When someone else got a torrent of abuse from me, in the kind of language that they would understand.

Ok if there's no post on any particular day, you will know that nothing happened or I had to show someone how they are wrong...through the medium of shouting. It makes me very sorry when things like this happen. I will have more control of my mind, but not by being a push-over. Err.. By the way they did pick-up the litter they had dropped.

I'm reading a very good travel book called,' Springtime For Germany .' V.funny.

Good luck and until next time,
Ganbatte..

Transfered Evidence

Went to Norwich. Did alot of nothing. I want to go see the new beowulf film; I'm too worried I'll miss the last bus home. Bought a warm jumper from the army surrplus store. Saw Anwar who looks to be caring for some old people....which is nice. Went to bed listening to Michio kaku's radio show in New York. It was very good.

And he said, "I want to live as an honest man
To get all I deserve and to give all I can
And to love a young woman who I don't understand
Your highness, your ways are very strange."

Cromer Rock

Had to go to Cromer job centre today. The bus was late due to traffic accident. I forget each time that the 2:36 bus is caught by the school kids at Sheringham High School. It's not all bad, almost funny to hear the bus driver shouting "ONE AT A TIME!! WAIT THERE!!!" At one point he stopped the bus and wouldn't let any of the kids off until he was sure there wasn't any rubbish left behind. I can't say I blame him. They make his job difficult.

No work to be found, unless I had the right tickets to work offshore. Went for a walk along the seafront, then coffee. Inside the coffee shop there was a jukebox but with Cd's. Some guy put old style big band music on :( At first, because of the sound quality I thought that the large cabinet was infact just a MP3 player :) To think, that large cabinet then maybe, just an IPod inside... hehe

There's an undergraduate student from Birmingham University in the Guardian today. Alex Smith has won a twelve thousand pound prize from Wolfram Research for his work. A proof on how to design a computer.

Electric Light Orchestra

I have learnt eighty Kanji now. Still not enough to be of use reading Japanese text 8-/ On average you need 800 Kanji.

Went into Holt to buy lots of Orange juice and Cranberry juice. It was four o'clock and people were setting up stalls on the main high street. What is this ? is there a market ? No, now I remember. Tonight will be the 'Turning on Of The Holt Christmas Lights'. This is a big thing for Holt considering how small the place is. People really do come and see the event from other areas; not just locals 8-D We can now expect people driving down the street at 2MPH looking at the lights. OK, it does look nice and the traders sure appreciate the visitors. During this time you may find police staking the town out at night due to vandalism to the light in previous years.

In my local health food store they were starting the celebrations early, and offered me a glass of wine. WOW, I was quite touched that they asked me, but I replied, "sorry, I don't drink." I think this made them feel slightly embarrassesd. As I left I asked about the lights, and about what was happening outside, we laughed about how they don't drink every evening, and that this was a one off.

I decided not to watch and that it wasn't for me

There is a light and it never goes out....

My god, how long was I asleep ? My visit to Norwich today was quite strange. In two weeks Norwich has changed, noticeably. It's like a TV show has come and done a make-over...' Pimp my City '. There are many new shops and refurbished buildings. Cinema City has opened, which has been along time coming; the Theatre Royal has a new entrance.

I can't help but think that all this change hides something more sinister. In the last year Norwich has implemented lots of IP cameras and wifi hotspots. I haven't any evidence to backup my theory, there has to be a good reason why such a drastic change has occurred; other than it looks better...allegedly.

I made a visit to the Cathedral where there was a Afternoon service in progress. I walked around looking at the paintings and stained glass in the north transept while listening to the service. There was an exhibition http://www.thedark.net".

I noticed at least several people that I recognised. It's strange I know of these people and yet only to say hello to. Though, I bumped into a friend of a friend in Nero ( the coffee bar with terrible coffe.) I was really pleased to see Anwar, he doesn't seem to be able to find work either, and said that he's looking for jobs in London. Anwar gave me his card pointing to his website, one thing I hadn't known about Anwar, is that he studied creative writting at university. He has now written a book http://www.circleofancients.com We spoke about how people act differently from their normal self when in a group of friends.

I usually catch the five o'clock bus home leaving from 'Castle Mall'. Though being slightly strange I do this very differently from everyone else. Here is how, when the bus arrives I watch everyone pay, the doors shut. I now have ten minutes to run to the next bus stop. I've done this a few times now, the first time I had to bang on the side of the bus and only just caught it. Now I arrive ealier, before the bus , asking for my ticket with weezing breath. So if you are in Norwich at about five o'clock, look-out for a nutter running 8-D

Who Eat All The Pies...

I've had my first 'Mince Pie' today :D

Well, I had a couple of mince pies :))))))))))))

Australia Has elected a new minister after eleven years of John Howard. The new guy, 'Kevin Rudd' of the labour Party, has promised to sign the Kyoto Protocol and to draw troops out from Iraq.

The Kyoto Protocol now covers more than 170 countries globally and more than 60% of countries in terms of global greenhouse gas emissions. As of November 2007, the US, Australia, and Kazakhstan are the only signatory nations, not to have ratified the act. This treaty expires in 2012, and international talks began in May 2007 on a future treaty to succeed the current one.

I've done nothing to help myself of late.
Things I need to do:

  • Sort book shelves and Cd's

  • Sell or scrap one of my two cars

  • Find a new job

  • Fix car or take motorcycle test

  • I really miss not going to church. I'm not much of a Christian or Buddhist, but church and meditation really do help.

I plan to walk to Sheringham tomorrow, and catch the bus to Norwich hopefully I will make Norwich Cathedral in time for Holy communion.

    I have been watching:

    Grey Pride

Woke up this morning to a wet, cloudy grey sky. Today I travelled to Leicester to visit my sister. The journey to Leicester takes two hours to drive, you have to make sure you're not caught by speed cameras, as there are many.

Finally we drove near to Nottingham, to the IKEA store. I couldn't help laugh at the stupid middle class people carrying their flat-packed furniture, it was evidently obvious that they were not use to lifting, or for that matter, any kind of work.

One fact about IKEA I pulled from wikipedia:

IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad was, as a teen, directly involved in the pro-Nazi New Swedish Movement (Nysvenska Rörelsen) until at least 1945, causing tensions when IKEA began opening stores in Israel. Kamprad devotes two chapters to his time in Nysvenska Rörelsen in his book, Leading By Design: The IKEA Story and, in a 1994 letter to IKEA employees, called his affiliation with the organization the "greatest mistake of his life."

The news today featured a disturbing report of young working class Russians who are members of the Neo Nazi movement 'National Unity of Russia'.

    Shelf Life

Still nothing worth mentioning. I have been completely hidden away at home for a few days now, and of course exploring second life. Second life's helping me alot with learning Japanese conversation and reading Kanji err... I think :) I wonder if it will infact spoil the experience of when I finally go.

I'm blogging today, mainly because of the evening news. HM Revenue and Customs lost details of 25 million child benefit recipients, drawing into question whether the government are fit enough to handle a 'National Identity Card Scheme'. I for one am totally against an identity card.

I've also received an email from the UK Open Rights Group, they need our support. Please visit their website:

    Link : http://www.openrightsgroup.org/

I truly believe they are doing much needed and important work towards the future of people in the UK and the European Union.

    Aboard the Ning Po...

Nothing really happened again today, because I made sure of it. It was good not to spend any money on useless crap. I did manage to study and listen to Machio Kaku and other stuff.

Spoke to Gabrielle on second life, she was being hassled by some sex pest!! Grrrrr!!!

With the TV on in the background, there was a program called 'Domino Day 2007.' They failed their world record attempt and people were literally crying... wtf ?

    Event Horizon

It's Friday must go to Norwich, why? I have no clue.

Returned a very basic book on meditation to the Buddhist's centre library. Their library is very good, and of course, there are also books to buy. I will try getting some advice from one of the more knowledgeable people, on what audio cd would be a good starting point to listen to. I'm not expecting a easy and straight forward reply :)

Went to the Green House, the vegetarian food/ ethical living place for a pot of tea. It's good to escape here and drink tea with people who care or pretend to care at least. Some guy came over and was talking to me, then suddenly realising I wasn't the person he thought I was, said, " sorry, you look just like *somebodies name here*." This was great, I'm always mistaken for other people, usually local artists, or other such people, who are actively doing stuff. Being someone that doesn't produce much to show for myself I'm always overjoyed to receive these moments of mistaken identity. I have a crazy idea about walking up to people and asking,"are you 'Albrecht Prinz' the famous writer from the von Urach family." I will either get a welcoming smile, or a sharp stab in the back, either way it's still funny.

Got the bus home... there were lots of school children..and a man who looked clinically depressed, but, don't tell him that, I guess he's hoping nobody noticed...

    Kawaii desu ne!!!

I've survived another day not speaking to anyone except on second life where I spent some time with Gabrielle answering trivia. Errr... Gabrielle answered trivia and I cheated and tried to Google every answer. I did walk around Holt whilst it was raining to get my dad's perscription from the chemist and also to eat cake, but I still tried not to notice anyone.

Tuesday night means the second part of 'Autopsy- Emergency Room' ( very macabre .)
Professor Gunther von Hagens using his fake blood again demonstrated bleeding from separate veins in the hand an arm. First bleeding from the 'digital vein' the finger tip bled slightly producing little amount of blood. Second ...damn ...couldn't remember the name but the slightly larger vein at the base of the thumb, producing abit more blood this time. Then the radial artery in the arm which of course pissed blood and Gunther needed to use a larger funnel for the measuring cylinder.

Then there was an autopsy involving three separate areas of stab wounds. he then proceeded to slice the frozen body using a band saw to examine which organs had been damaged. All three wounds were fatal with varying degrees of damage. He then removed the donor's thema bone and reproduced bleeding from a fracture of the thigh, which caused a rapid loss of blood. In the emergency room realigning the fracture apparently helps stem the blood loss.

    Trans-human...

My next employer will not be old, or, that is, think in an old-stubborn-way. I don't believe there's many older generation British that really understand problems faced by the younger generation. OK, they have their own problems too; but when they refuse to stay in touch with current affairs and learn new technologies they rely on other people. This leaves them vulnerable to people who lie, they can't see when they're faced with real truth.

Tony Benn was on the Politics show today and of course spoke with much sense. I have only read one of Mr Benn's books (Free at Last!)and found him to be very interesting, and well worth listening to ever since I heard him speak so emphatically at a 'Stop The War' demo in Hyde Park. Though I wasn't sure about his comment 'people come into this country not speaking the language and have no passport every day, and these are, new born babies' this was probably abit tongue in cheek and I'm not sure how serious he was being, but still, he's perfectly correct :) Why do the people who seem quintessentially British usually speak so strongly for multi-cultural ism?

Another good episode of 'Visions of The future' that ended with a call for reasoned democratic debate on the pros and cons of stem cell research and genetic engineering. Also featured was the MareNostrum supercomputer based in Barcelona which is the equivalent of 20,000 desktop PCs. I also like what Ray Kurzweil said about the Trans humanist group based in San Francisco," we are transcending our biology, not our humanity." Sweet :)

    Just Forget It!!

Decided to do my usual and visit Norwich on a Friday. At the bus stop I noticed that the rapidly declining public payphone still had its light switched on. As I had nothing better to do whilst waiting, I called the '151' number for reporting line faults. The lady thanked me for my call and said that it would go on the list for attention. I was a little surprised when she asked me for my name and contact details. Luckily she miss heard my name and I said that I had no contact details and hung-up. I don't believe that anyone will fix the fault I've reported, well maybe there's a standard procedure for checking all boxes in time. So maybe I got some poorly paid employee in trouble. Right.. who's next....

Something I've noticed that's rather sad, is that, because of the parking problem in Holt delivery drivers are using the 'war memorial' to park on. Mostly all towns in England have a war memorial, due to the fact that WWI soldiers were buried where they died, and their bodies did not return home. There was a traffic warden who dished-out at least three tickets in a short space of time.

Despite the warnings, there was slight flood damage over night on the East coast of England. The beach-huts at Cromer have been completely smashed to pieces. Hmmm.. where would I build my beach hut and on which beach? Dresden in Germany didn't fair so well.

The bus driver seemed to be attempting his personal best in making it to the city (Norwich does actually count as being a city.. ok, I know, just pretend) I couldn't help but laugh as we manouvered around small country lanes. Pensioners shopping bags clasped to their side.

In Norwich there was nothing to see or do, I ignored people and they ignored me.

Went to the local Royal Mail sorting office to find work. The woman behind the counter pretended to listens to me, then handed me a leaflet which read," Royal Mail is recruiting now for Christmas."

'Christmas is the busiest time of the year for us. In the peak week leading up to the festive season, we expect to sort and deliver more than two billion cards, packets and letters. To help us with this, we are recruiting idiots that we may exploit and then sack in a short period of time. If you feel that you're desperate enough to get up early when every normal person is still in bed, and don't mind being attacked by dogs. Can drive with complete disregard to road safety. We would like to hear from you....A Service To Be Proud Of...'

When I returned home my dad said he hadn't realised that I had left the house.

    HENRY K-R-I-N-K-L-E

I had to go for an interview to claim job seeker allowance today. Despite arriving early at the bus-stop for Cromer I somehow managed to miss-it, or it just never arrived. When I finally made it to the job centre I was escorted by the Group 4 security guard to the interview room. The staff are friendly and I imagine they sometimes have to deal with some crap at times, though, because this is a small seaside town things are usually quiet. The girl conducting the interview was very professional except everything seemed to be pink. A pink kitty mouse mat, a pink coat, pen etc.... What I secretly admired was that she had customized the DHS computer settings to be all pink..LOL . Also she had noticed the ugly scab on the back of my hand," what has happened to your hand?" Embarrassingly I had to explain that afew days earlier I had wondered what it would feel like if I dropped glue, from a hot glue gun, on the back of my hand, and it had left a branded mark in the shape of a tear. I was obviously winning on the sympathy front and at the end of the interview she said, "take care." How was she to know that saying take care to someone like me is proposing marriage. **joke**

On the way home I switched off the, massive no-need plasma screen advertising random nothing, at the hardware store, using my TV-BGONE...MWAHAHA...There's probably some footage of me doing this somewhere as the whole of Sheringham has CCTV, everywhere. I also looked into their fairly new computer shop. I couldn't help but think the people running the computer shop where just there whilst they weren't back home tending pigs at the pig farm.

Back in Holt I tried to buy cake, but this time things didn't go so well. Someone decided to cut in front of me in the queue. Boiling inside I left the shop and hid inside a telephone box. These are really handy for hiding in an also for surveillance as they are made of glass and have transfers all around the inside leaving little peep holes...ok that's creepy. I finally calmed down and managed to buy the cake and a bottle of juice. On the way back five massively obese women taking the path and most of the road failed to move aside for me and accused me of being rude, I assume it was because I didn't jump over them to get past. At this point I was screaming inside and it's all I can do from taking the bottle of juice and smashing their useless waste of space heads to mush. I think I did a good job of disguising my psychotic tendencies and made it home to watch Taxi Driver and read the Guardian.

There is a flood warning on the East coast tonight. Some of the locals in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft noticed the delivery of sand bags, and demanded that they had them before they were handed-out. I'm wondering if they were tipped-off by their Council working friends. Well good-luck to them I hope things work-out OK.

    Ganbatta

Today I walked along the seashore sunbathed for several hours and listen to locals speak their native tongue of Japanese whilst earning Linden Dollar. Yes, I did none of this except on Second Life at the Japan Resort a virtual beach. Really I stayed in bed and became ill from no life.

Allegedly Stephen Fry has a presence on Second Life but he isn't telling ;)

    Focke-Wulf Fw 44

After waking this morning I read the new edition of 2600 magazine, and was surprised to find there where some good articles. From what I can see, Norwich2600 now consists of me standing outside borders for twenty minutes every month.

Everyone in my household has a bad cough at the moment, so, as I wasn't working I offered to give the kitchen a good scrub.

To get out of the house I bought some cake from Byfords, a sort of posh deli in Holt that also does bed 'n' breakfast. Apart from carrot cake I also bought one of their vegetarian ciabattas. The ciabattas are nice though they use to be made with more olives and contain sun dried tomatoes. I left the house to see what seemed to be a World War II Bi-plane. It looked to be a Focke-Wulf Fw 44; doing aerobatics in the sky. This is the kind of normal event that happens when you live in Holt, sometimes in the summer it's not uncommon to drive down a country lane to be met head on with some type of WWII vehicle from the Muckleburgh collection in Weybourne. I tried to get my camera, and take some pitures, but it had disappeared by the time I returned. I made my way into town and got the cake without any problem, mainly because there wasn't anybody around. Instead of making my way straight home I walked to my local church to do some thinking, outside the church were builders repairing the church tower. "Guess I'd better leave it for another day."

Machio Kaku has a radio show in the States that can be heard from his web site, I listened to the last Mp3 uploaded and it was a Australian guy talking about climate change, I'm still not convinced whether it's something I should keep listening to.

OMFG... The Anatomy series is back on channel four. I caught it by accident, this stuff really interests me. Dissection by Dr Gunther Von Hagens and professor John A Lee, Dr Gunther was wearing his black hat as usual maybe as a mark of respect, who knows...The series this time has been made involving the British Red Cross who explain some basic first aid. To re-enact some injuries fake blood was pumped through taps in the donor body's arteries. The effect was as professor Lee said realistic. The blood was pissing-out of the 'femoral artery' at some rate with a loss of three litre of blood in a short period of time. I remember doing some first-aid training last year with 'action medics' where we roll-played this very injury, I tried to stop the bleeding by applying pressure to the middle of the women patients thigh. Of course the proper place to apply pressure was more closer to the groin :/ Next week will be about fatal stabbings.

    Lives Of Others

Had a late night last night. And so I was woken quite late by the telephone. As usual when I finally answered they had already hung-up. "Damn that must have been the Job seeker people phoning me back about my claim." I picked the phone up to keep with me and so I wont miss them next time they call, then went to use the loo (nice :P). The caller managed to redial almost immediately and I had no choice but to answer still sitting on the toillet. I'm not sure how you let a complete stranger on your telephone know that your currently taking a dump whilst speaking to them but surely the flushing noise was a give-away.

I managed to pay my credit card off today also so all is good now.

The rest of the morning was spent playing with some css stuff and I've embedded a you tube player into my web space on sdf (super dimensional fortress) the only reason I'm a member of sdf was because a friend told me it would be good. I've never done anything with the site before but maybe I'll use it to play with different ideas.

Holt was looking very cold today, though, I managed to make it to the shops and back in one piece. On my return I watched the film 'Lives Of Other' or 'Leben Der Anderen.' I have seen this film at least five times now and still find it quite moving.

There was a new program on BBC Four tonight called 'Visions Of The Future'; it's nice to be told that there is a future. The presenter was a Dr. Michio Kaku and the episode title 'The Intelligence Revolution.' Things included were the IBM1401, a self driven Smart car, 3D Teleimmersion, a bearded man with dirty hair called Jaron Lanier and also the Nagoya robot museum. I'm not sure what to make of the program yet some silly statements were made like, " the words traffic accident and traffic jam will in the future disappear from the English language". And the question, " at what stage will we lose are sense of being human?" Also some animal experimentation creeped into the program at some point near the end. The most interesting thing shown was a Lady that was suffering from depression for more than twenty years. She was given what is known as 'Deep Brain Stimulation.' A brain pacemaker is implanted into her that's connected to probes travelling up into her head nearly five to ten centimeters deep. After the operation the doctors fine tune the pacemaker according to the effect of how she feels. I think I saw something similar to this at a talk I attended by Professor of cybernetics 'Kevin Warwick' at What The Hack.

Tonight I will be listening to these recording at:

Hmm.. it seems that I have finally come to realise the benefits of keeping a regular and up to date blog. Note that like most people I hardly ever do what is beneficial.

It's nearly Christmas time, and since I was laid-off from work on Thursday; everything for me has come to an dead end. So, a new beginning must be found. I have no job, no working transport.

By keeping a blog online I hope to keep an account of what I have been doing (obviously) This may help make me do something about my situation.

Things that I find positive at the moment in no particular order:

  • Meditation at my local Buddhist centre.

  • Norwich Buddhist centre

  • My regular trips to Germany, and learning Deutsch

  • After many years of trying I feel I know what I have to do finally to learn more about electronics and computer tech' which is my main passion (possibly an unhealthy one.) 8P

It's now Sunday evening, and despite not leaving the house to go outside all weekend I did manage to study some German language. And earn some Linden on `Second Life` ..hehe OH Dear...
